About the Holy Hill Development Office

Who We Are

The Holy Hill Development Office directs and manages fundraising activities in accord with the Discalced Carmelite Friars of Holy Hill. Our objective is to meet fundraising goals in order to ensure the sustainability and advancement of the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill by supporting the work of the Discalced Carmelite Friars of Holy Hill. 

We strive to operate under three primary principles; Results, Mission and Integrity. We show compelling Results of how the Mission is fulfilled by our efforts, and set high standards of Integrity in everything we do.

What We Do

  • We plan and implement fund-raising efforts by contacting donors and potential donors through direct mail and other means. 
  • We ensure that the donations and gifts are utilized in accordance with the wishes of our donors.
  • We encourage devotion to Mary Help of Christians, Saint Therese of Lisieux (the “Little Flower”), and offer opportunities for prayer. 
  • The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill is a place of healing. We have devoted an entire page for those who seek comfort during times of pain—whether it is physical or emotional pain.

Under the care of the Discalced Carmelite Friars of Holy Hill, The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians is open to the public and draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and sightseers annually. Visitors can attend daily Catholic Masses of worship, enjoy the scenic views and walk the life-sized Stations of the Cross in a serene setting. A café and large gift store are open year round.
